Product Description

The 3000-10(AF)(AP) ELT has been updated to meet the requirements of RTCA DO-183 for emergency locator transmitters. These models are interchangeable with existing units in form, fit and function. Included in complete kits, the remote panel control switch includes a visual activation monitor as required in all automatic fixed (AF) installations and many of the automatic portable (AP) installations. The standard whip antenna and coaxial cable, previous supplied with the model 3000, remains interchangeable with these newer models. Other serviceable components may remain in use with the current model transmitter. The remote switch may use already existing wiring and installation requires minimal panel space. The 3000-10 and 3000-11 transmitters incorporate an alkaline battery pack that is specifically designed to endure extreme short-term, thermal variations which meet the mechanical shock requirements of RTCA DO-183.
