Product Description

Poly-Type Flareless tube fittings have reduced a installation time when compared to regular compression or flare fittings -- just push in the tubing and tighten the nut. No wrenches, flaring tools, benders, or other tools needed for installations. Poly-Type fittings that are assembled finger tight on Poly-Type or PVC Tubing and will hold the tubing's burst pressure. To prevent twisting and weakening of the tubing during installation, the nut revolves around the sleeve as it is being tightened, which prevents torque from being transmitted to the tubing, to provide an excellent seal and ensure reliability. Poly-Type fittings can also be used with plastic or soft metal tubing for pneumatic instrumentation circuits and applications with other gases and liquids. Acetyl copolymer sleeves, PVC, or EVA tubing can also be used with Poly-Type fittings, while the universal brass sleeve and nut assemblies are for use with lmpolene, nylon, and soft metal tubing. The half-knurl/half-hex brass nut design provides the versatility, with the plastic sleeve, to quickly and easily finger tighten onto Poly-Type tubing, and the hex portion permits tightening with a wrench -- just one turn passed finger tight. It is recommended to tighten with a wrench for applications where brass sleeves are used and where service conditions require full pressure and capability of the tubing.
