The ICG “F/B Ringer Assembly”
is an external ringer typically installed
in conjunction with a handset that is
mounted in a location where it may be
difficult to hear an incoming ring. Usual
applications are for retractor reel handsets
mounted in a drink rail or other enclosure
or as an indication in the aircraft cabin
or flight deck of inbound faxes or other
calls. The “F/B Ringer” is
powered from the telephone line ring signal
with no other external power requirements
and comes with a standard one meter pre-wired
cable with RJ-11 connector. When used
with an ICG retractor reel handset, a
plug-in connection facility is available
on the handset for the ringer. For other
applications it can be paralleled with
the telephone circuit.
